Our History
ROYDS HALL PRINTING COMPANY
is owned by Simon Hampson and was established in June 1970.
I joined the company in 1983 after studying graphic design and print at Batley Art College - I learned the traditional way before
computers!
The 1970s were the days of letterpress printing using the old lead letters and running 3 Original Heidelberg Platens one of which I still have and use on a regular basis although only for numbering and perforating now.
Then moving into litho printing using photographic printing plates which are much faster and give a far superior quality job. Still used today and are ideal for longer run jobs and NCR work giving superb quality and of course with all artwork being produced on computers.
Coming right up to date we now have the latest digital colour machines which are excellent for shorter run colour jobs, making high quality colour printing available on smaller jobs that were simply uneconomical before the advent of digital printing.
Combined with all the various finishing machinery, we have all the equipment and experience required to produce jobs to the highest standard.
Our longevity has come from striving to be honest and fair to all customers regardless of the size of their order and to always give the best advice at all times.
